Nitish, Tejashwi lock horns over SIR
India, July 24 -- The Bihar assembly on Wednesday witnessed confrontation between members of the opposition Grand Alliance and the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), with chief minister Nitish Kumar reminding leader of the opposition Tejashwi Yadav of the "jungle raj" during the RJD's rule over the latter's critical remarks that the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls was being done in a "non-transparent" manner. In his address, as the RJD leader took a swipe at the ECI over the poll roll revision exercise, asking whether "fake voters" elected PM Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar, the JD(U) chief intervened asking Yadav to refrain from making unwarranted statements.
