NIA arrests two more over killing of six Naga civilians
IMPHAL, July 19 -- The National Investigating Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrested two more accused as part of its probe into the abduction and killing of six Naga civilians, altogether four accused have been arrested in the case.
Manipur police on its X identified the accused as "Lungoulal Vaiphei resident of Leilon Vaiphei village, Leimakhong, Kangpokpi, and Lunminthang Sitlhou alias Jack resident of Molhoi Village, Leimakhong, Kangpokpi district of Manipur."
It stated that duo was arrested by a joint team of NIA, Manipur Police and CRPF during the follow-up investigation adding that "further efforts are on to arrest other individuals connected with the case".
The six Naga civilians were abducted by armed men on May 13 from Leilon Vaiphei in Kangpokpi district. Their bodies were recovered from the vicinity of Leilon Vaiphei village on June 10....
