MUMBAI, Oct. 11 -- Veteran theatre artiste and film actor Naseeruddin Shah will play Booker Prize winner Salman Rushdie in a stage adaptation of the latter's memoir 'Knife', which recollects the 2022 murder attempt on the author, who was stabbed repeatedly during a literary festival in the US. Titled '27 Seconds', the play, also starring Malaika Choudhury as Rushdie's wife Rachel Eliza Griffiths, will open at the Prithvi Theatre Festival next month.
