India, Oct. 18 -- A reinforcement cage at an under-construction pier of the Anand Nagar-Saket Elevated Road project toppled onto a moving car near Kopri Bridge in Thane, crushing its front windshield and damaging the roof. The driver escaped unhurt. The vehicle was removed and the fallen steel cage cleared with a crane. The MMRDA has imposed a Rs.2-crore penalty on the contractor and ordered a detailed investigation into the incident....
