MPSC paper leak row: Activists blacken secretary's face, 3 arrested
Mumbai, Sept. 12 -- The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) paper-leak controversy escalated on Friday when three Sambhaji Brigade activists smeared black powder on the face of MPSC secretary Mahendra Harpalkar at the commission's CBD Belapur headquarters. They threatened similar action against chairperson Vivek Bhimanwar if both officials were not removed. The activists-state vice-president Annasaheb Sawant, Mumbai president Suhas Rane and regional coordinator Dr Yogesh Patil-were arrested.
The incident came a day after CM Devendra Fadnavis announced an SIT probe into alleged exam irregularities. Despite this, pressure to remove the MPSC secretary and chairperson continues to mount. P3...
