Mumbai, Sept. 7 -- Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Sunday defended his son Amit Thackeray over the removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's portrait from an educational institute in Pune. Addressing an MNS conclave in Thane, Raj said Modi's photograph should not be displayed alongside icons such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Babasaheb Ambedkar and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.
