Mumbai, Oct. 6 -- After spending over 25 days evading the police, a Vasai company worker accused of killing his colleague was tracked down to a docked ship in Gujarat's Okha port, after searching more than 200 vessels. He was working as a welder under a changed identity in a ship that was set to sail soon and had planned to flee the country. According to the police, the incident occurred on September 7, when the owner of Synergy Hygiene Company, located at Kaman in Vasai transferred money to one of the firm's employees, Sunil Prajapati's account to cover his and his colleague, Dilip Saroj's expenses. Prajapati allegedly withheld Saroj's share, which angered him, leading to an argument and Prajapati attacked Saroj with a hard object, inflicting severe injuries, after which he fled the city, said a police officer. Saroj was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Subsequently, the police registered a murder case against Prajapati.
