India, July 21 -- A magisterial probe has been ordered into the killing of a 35-year-old man allegedly in a police firing incident in Jammu & Kashmir's Doda district last week, officials said on Monday. On July 16, Arif Hussain, a resident of Cheeka village, was killed after he allegedly tried to snatch a service rifle from them on the Jai-Gandoh road in Doda around. Two special operations group (SOG) personnel were injured in the incident. Doda deputy district commissioner Krishan Lal ordered the probe, and marked it to subdivisional magistrate of Assar, Ashok Singh Katoch. "I have been given 15 days to complete the probe and submit the report," said Katoch. A five-member SIT headed by the sub-divisional police officer (SDPO), Bhaderwah, Naveed Shaukat Qazi, was also constituted to probe the incident, officials said.
