Mumbai, Aug. 7 -- Residents of Santacruz East, Khar East and Bandra East will face a 24-hour water shutdown, while parts of Andheri East and Vile Parle East will receive low-pressure supply, as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) undertakes improvement work on a section of the 2,400-mm Vaitarna water pipeline from 10am on August 11 to 10am on August 12. BMC said the work is aimed at strengthening water supply in H East ward (Santacruz, Khar East and Bandra) and K South ward (Andheri and Vile Parle East). Water supply will remain completely suspended across H East ward throughout the 24-hour shutdown. Residents in parts of K South ward will receive water at low pressure during scheduled hours. Areas including Kabir Nagar, Parsiwada and P&T Colony will get supply between 2pm and 5.30pm on August 11. Koldongri, Old Police Lane, Vijay Nagar and Mograpada will receive water between 5pm and 10pm, while Sahar village, Sutar Pakhadi and the Cargo Complex will get water between 5am and 8am on August 12....
