MUMBAI, Sept. 22 -- A special MCOCA court on Monday charged jailed gangster Ravi Pujari in two extortion cases, including an alleged Rs.10-crore demand from former IAS officer Radheshyam Mopalwar in 2017. Mopalwar, then vice-chairman and managing director of MSRDC, had complained that a private detective and two others threatened to release audio clips allegedly showing him accepting bribes. After they were arrested, Mopalwar allegedly received two calls from Pujari, who threatened him and his daughter and demanded withdrawal of the extortion case.
