NAVI MUMBAI, June 24 -- An unidentified person has been booked after it emerged that a forged court document led to the staying of the demolition of an illegal six-storey building in Sarsole village in Nerul.
The fraud came to light when the Navi Mumbai municipal commissioner received PDF documents on WhatsApp from an unknown number suggesting the court had granted temporary protection against the demolition.
