cop on duty at marine drive injured as bmw rams into him
MUMBAI, Feb. 7 -- A police constable posted at the Marine Drive police station was injured after a speeding BMW rammed into him during a naka-bandi opposite the InterContinental Hotel at the Marine Drive late on Thursday night.
The police said the incident occurred around 2:30 am on Friday. The constable, identified as Samadhan Wagh, was on duty when he attempted to stop the luxury car.
The driver, identified as Harish Faizal Khan, 28, a resident of Khar, allegedly panicked on seeing the police and drove into the barricade, injuring Wagh. The police said Khan fled the spot but another constable chased and intercepted him....
