MUMBAI, March 25 -- The Kurar police on Monday arrested Dinesh Patel, the contractor of a slum rehabilitation project site in Kurar village where a seven-year-old boy drowned in an unguarded 20-foot-deep pit on March 19. Divyansh Maurya, a class two student, had been missing since 8pm on Thursday. His family, neighbours and the police looked for him frantically through the night before his father, Rajesh Maurya, found his body in the pit around 3am on Friday. He was rushed to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali, where doctors declared him dead. Divyansh, elder of two siblings, lived near the Kurar metro station, close to his father's provision store near the Western Express Highway. Police had registered an FIR under section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for causing death by negligence against two persons - the site engineer and Patel, the contractor of the project being executed by M/s Mauli Sai Developers Pvt Ltd and others....
