MUMBAI, Sept. 29 -- Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday gave in-principle approval to a Rs.1,826-crore integrated infrastructure development plan for Pune's Hinjewadi and Chakan industrial hubs, following growing concerns over poor civic facilities and traffic congestion raised by citizens, IT professionals and industry. Of the proposed allocation, around Rs.1,400 crore has been earmarked for Chakan and Rs.426.54 crore for Hinjewadi. The plan includes upgrading roads, drainage networks and bridges and other essential civic infrastructure.
