CBI books Gensol, BluSmart founders
India, Aug. 20 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against Gensol Engineering (GEL), its promoters and founders of ride-hailing service BluSmart Anmol Singh Jaggi and Puneet Singh Jaggi, and others for alleged misutilisation and diversion of funds borrowed from the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA). The FIR, filed on July 31, also names sister concern Gensol EV Lease Ltd and unidentified persons. The CBI case follows findings by the Sebi and IREDA concerning alleged diversion of funds raised for the purchase of electric vehicles.
