BLO training begins for EC spl drive in WB
Kolkata, Oct. 6 -- The Election Commission of India's (ECI's) special drive to enrol left-out electors, whose names were deleted during the special intensive revision (SIR) in West Bengal, will consist of three categories-voters with logical discrepancies, ASDD (absent, shifted, dead and duplicate) voter and those who could not be mapped, officials aware of the matter said on Monday.
"We have been issued three categories to register the names of left out voters (names which were deleted during SIR) - voters with logical discrepancies, ASDD voters and those who couldn't be mapped. The BLOs will also share the list, the filled-up Form-6 and their filed verification report with the Electoral Registration Officers, who in turn will take the call," said the senior official.

"There is still no clarity on whether these 2.2 million voters whose cases are now being heard in the Appellate Tribunals will be included in the special drive. We were only told in the training that it will be decided by EC," said another BLO.
