New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- The three Assam districts with the highest percentage increase in the number of voters after the special revision of electoral rolls are Muslim-majority, an analysis of data in the northeastern state showed on Wednesday. Assam's electoral roll shrunk by 243,485 names, or 0.97% after the special revision. Data published by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Assam on Tuesday showed that the final roll, as on February 10, had 24.96 million people, compared to 25.20 million in the draft roll published on December 27, 2025.
