MUMBAI, Oct. 3 -- Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Friday warned of a nationwide agitation, including a 'Jantar Mantar 2.0' protest in Delhi, if Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar did not resign. Addressing a massive gathering at Shivaji Park on Gandhi Jayanti, Dipke accused the Election Commission of irregularities in the revision of electoral rolls and alleged that more than 13 crore names had been deleted. Dipke demanded Kumar's resignation, a criminal case against him and restoration of the electoral rolls that existed before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. 'Go Gyanu Go' was Dipke's chosen slogan at the protest on Friday, where the largely young crowd filled the air with chants of 'Vote chor, gaddi chor.' Launching the protest on Gandhi Jayanti, Dipke said, "Mahatma Gandhi, B R Ambedkar and Jawaharlal Nehru were the soul, backbone and mind of India, and Modi cannot match their sacrifice, hard work and merit."
