MUMBAI, July 21 -- A BEST bus rammed into a road divider in Mankhurd, killing a 65-year-old man on the street and injuring eight passengers, the driver and the conductor. The driver, Banwarilal Sharma, 51, said the brakes had failed and he swerved into the divider to minimise the fallout of the accident, according to the police. Bhaskar Kagde, a farmer from Dharashiv visiting his daughter in Mankhurd, died after the bus struck him.
