Yogi orders crackdown on land mafia
GORAKHPUR, May 17 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed officials to crack down on illegal land occupation and ensure swift action on public grievances.
During a Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath temple, the chief minister received multiple complaints related to land encroachment. He instructed officials to immediately identify land mafia, register FIRs against them and ensure they are sent to jail. Reiterating the government's zero-tolerance policy, he said injustice towards common citizens would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
"Identify the land mafia, uproot them and send them to jail," the chief minister said, stressing strict enforcement against illegal land grabbing and harassment of residents.
Adityanath also reviewed complaints related to medical assistance and welfare schemes. He instructed district administration and police officials to ensure prompt, transparent and effective resolution of all grievances.
Assuring financial support for those in need of medical treatment, he said, "No patient should suffer due to lack of money. Treatment estimates must be prepared quickly and government assistance should reach every eligible person without delay."
