Kanpur, Jan. 3 -- An 18-year-old woman was arrested and sent to judicial custody on Friday for allegedly killing a middle-aged neighbour who, she claimed, attempted to sexually assault her in a village of Banda district, police said. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon in a village under the Baberu police station area. The deceased was identified as 60-year-old Sukhraj Prajapati, a neighbour who frequently visited the woman's house. Station House Officer of Baberu, Rajendra Singh Rajawat, said Prajapati's body was recovered from the woman's house around 3.30 pm on Thursday. He had sustained fatal head injuries.
