Bhubaneswar, Feb. 25 -- A 45-year-old woman and her 13-year-old son were killed in Odisha's Koraput district allegedly by the woman's minor daughter and her boyfriend after the two opposed their relationship, police said on Tuesday, adding the accused stuffed the bodies and dumped them in a canal. "The daughter and her boyfriend have been detained and are being questioned," a police official said. Full details would be shared after the investigation concludes, the official added. The double murder came to light after the bodies were recovered from canals in the Kotpad police station area - the son's body on Monday and the mother's from the Jayantgiri canal on Tuesday morning. Both had been reported missing since February 21, when a complaint was filed at Borigumma police station, police said. According to preliminary investigation, the daughter was in a relationship with a local youth, which her mother and brother opposed.
