LUCKNOW, Oct. 14 -- Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday alleged that the government's flawed policies had taken inflation to record levels, leaving ordinary citizens struggling. In a press statement, Yadav claimed that inflation has "broken all records" and food prices continue to climb steadily as the public bears the full burden. Prices of diesel, petrol and LPG cylinders are already high, while essentials such as cooking oil, pulses, vegetables, milk, ghee, sugar, clothing, footwear and household goods have seen a sharp rise during the festive season, he further claimed. Profiteering and black marketing are the root causes of inflation, creating a livelihood crisis for the common man, the SP chief alleged. He claimed that data from various government departments itself confirm that all previous inflation records have been shattered. Yadav accused big traders and capitalists of exploiting the public while common citizens remain helpless. "Inflation and exploitation of the public will continue as long as the BJP government remains in power," he alleged. The SP chief expressed confidence that a Samajwadi Party government will come to power in Uttar Pradesh in 2027 and will curb inflation while providing relief to people. htc...
