PANAJI, March 11 -- A Goa court on Tuesday convicted the wife of an Indian Navy officer for his murder in 2019 and sentenced her to life imprisonment. Sandhya Chauhan, who was 32 at the time of the incident, was arrested for the alleged murder of her husband, Kaushalendra Pratap Singh, a navy official posted at the INS Hansa Naval base. He was struck on his head with a wooden club, leading to his death on June 2, 2019, according to prosecution. Singh was an aircraft handler at the Naval airbase and was posted in Goa. He hailed from Uttar Pradesh. The prosecution said that on the night of the incident, Singh returned home drunk leading to a heated argument. Singh allegedly created ruckus and hit Sandhya with a piece of wood. Later, when Singh fell asleep, Sandhya bludgeoned him with the same wood....
