Lucknow, May 17 -- The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has appealed to home-buyers, allottees, promoters, and other stakeholders to make effective use of online facilities available on the UP-RERA portal for viewing complaint status and recovery certificate (RC) status. The regulatory authority has issued the public advisory to spread awareness among complainants regarding the transparent and digital mechanisms available under Section 31 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016. UP-RERA stated that many complainants are still unaware that they can monitor the status of their complaints and recovery proceedings online without the need to physically visit the RERA office. The regulatory authority clarified that these facilities are aimed at ensuring transparency, accessibility, and convenience for the general public. "The online access to complaint proceedings and RC status enhances transparency and saves complainants from unnecessary inconvenience," said Sanjay Bhoosreddy, chairman of UP-RERA He further appealed to home-buyers and complainants to regularly use the UP-RERA portal for updates related to their cases and recovery proceedings. Complaint filing mechanism under Section 31 The Section 31 of the RERA Act empowers aggrieved persons, including home-buyers, promoters, or Associations of Allottees, to file complaints before the Regulatory Authority or the Adjudicating Officer regarding violations of the provisions of the Act or Rules framed thereunder.
