PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 31 -- Two absconding accused Irfan Ahmed and Mohammad Hussain, wanted in the murder case of roadways bus driver Ravindra Kumar, were arrested by Lucknow STF near Manikpur Railway Station in Chitrakoot on Wednesday. A reward of Rs 50,000 each was announced for both the accused. Prayagraj police had previously arrested two named in the murder case including the main accused, in separate police encounters on Saturday. The search for three other named accused is still underway. It may be mentioned that a UPSRTC contract employee Ravindra Kumar was attacked with bricks and stones at a petrol pump at Mundera Chungi on October 21 following a dispute. Based on the complaint of the deceased's brother, Rajan Pasi, the police registered an FIR against seven named and four unidentified persons.A reward of Rs 25,000 each was initially announced for all the absconding accused. On October 27, the police arrested two of the accused Ali and Kamran, in separate encounters.Subsequently, the reward for the other absconding accused was doubled to Rs 50,000 each. Acting on a tip-off, the Lucknow Special Task Force (STF) arrested absconding accused Irfan Ahmed and Mohammad Hussain near Manikpur railway station in Chitrakoot at 5pm on Wednesday. Both had been changing locations since the murder. After arresting them, the STF handed them over to the Dhoomanganj police station in Prayagraj. Both the accused have criminal cases registered against them in several police stations in Prayagraj.
