Bhubaneswar, Sept. 23 -- Two people travelling to a popular shiva shrine in Odisha's Dhenkanal district were allegedly stopped and assaulted by a group of men, with a video of the incident surfacing days after a similar attack in Bihar, police said on Tuesday, adding that two people have been detained. According to police, the incident took place on September 18 on the Kapilash-Tangi road in Dhenkanal district but it came to light only on Monday after footage of the alleged assault circulated widely on social media. The video shows the 26-year-old man, a resident of Cuttack district, being verbally abused and allegedly assaulted by a group of men. It also showed some men behaving inappropriately towards the woman. Dhenkanal SP Abhinav Sonkar said an investigation was underway. "We have detained two people in this regard and appropriate action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation," he said, adding, a team has been sent to the spot and a nearby village to question people.debabrata mohanty...
