LUCKNOW, Jan. 9 -- The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) on Thursday clarified that the three-year relaxation in the upper age limit announced for the ongoing direct recruitment of constable (civil police) and equivalent posts for 2025 will also apply to home guards volunteers. UPPRPB director SB Shiradkar said that according to an official notification issued under a government order dated January 5, 2026, the age relaxation has been granted across all categories for the recruitment process covering 32,679 posts.
