Three more held in Prayagraj murder case
Prayagraj, April 30 -- Police have arrested three more men in connection with the murder of a 55-year-old man after a dispute over a goat entering his house in Prayagraj's trans-Yamuna area. The incident took place on April 27 in Bongi village under Ghoorpur police station limits. Police said an argument started after a goat entered the house of Nisar Ahmad. The goat belonged to his nephew Guddu, who lives in the same village.
The argument soon turned violent and both sides allegedly attacked each other with sticks. During the clash, Guddu allegedly hit Nisar Ahmad on the head and fled the spot. Family members took the injured man to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. After a complaint by the victim's son Hussain, police registered a murder case against five accused Guddu, Abdul, Salman, Rashid and Pappu. Rashid was arrested on April 28. On Wednesday, police arrested Guddu, Salman and Abdul. They also recovered the weapon allegedly used in the crime. All three were sent to jail.
