LUCKNOW, July 13 -- An FIR has been lodged against the unidentified driver of a Thar SUV for allegedly hitting the official car of a Barabanki family court judge in Lucknow and trying to run over a traffic constable who attempted to intercept the vehicle. The case was lodged at Gomti Nagar police station on July 11 on the complaint of Santosh Gupta, driver of Principal Judge (Family Court), Barabanki, Krishna Kumar. Police have registered the FIR under Sections 281 and 324(4) of the BNS. According to the complaint, the incident took place around 6.45 pm on July 10 when Gupta was driving the judge, his wife and children from Qaiserbagh to Barabanki. As the vehicle stopped at the red light near Lohia crossing, a speeding SUV allegedly rammed into it. After the collision, the they alerted a traffic constable posted at the crossing.
