LUCKNOW, Nov. 6 -- On the call of FUPUCTA, teachers in districts across Uttar Pradesh submitted a 31-point memorandum addressed to the chief minister through the district magistrate, demanding fulfilment of their long-pending demands. Teachers on call of UP University College Teachers Association, have been teaching wearing black bands since November 2. The demands include old pension, retirement age of 65 years, PhD increment, feeder cadre, adding experience of amalgamated teachers, increase in remuneration rates, bringing self-financed courses of aided colleges on grant, conducting examinations only once a year, medical leave as before, and removal of the compulsion of NOC in transfers. htc...
