VARANASI, April 15 -- The Special Task Force on Tuesday arrested an accused wanted in a case registered under Gangster Act and cow slaughter at Mehnagar Police Station in Azamgarh. The accused Arif of Mubarakpur area was arrested from Bidra Bajar turn in Mehnagar area of Azamgarh, said the STF in a communique. He carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest. STF deputy superintendent of police Shailesh Pratap Singh from Prayagraj supervised the team led by inspector Jai Prakash Rai. The STF said that during interrogation, Arif told the officials that he is originally a resident of village Khaura Rasoolpur Vyavahara, police station Mubarakpur of district Azamgarh.
