Lucknow, Oct. 5 -- Even as the Election Commission's 'no voter to be left behind' campaign is underway, voters in Uttar Pradesh will get another chance to include their names and update their details when the poll panel launches the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of electoral rolls before the 2027 UP assembly elections. The SSR exercise is likely to be launched in October-November, according to people familiar with the matter. No specific date for the launch has been announced. The move comes months after the final electoral rolls published on April 10 under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process showed the deletion of 20.4 million (2.04 crore) names in Uttar Pradesh.
