PRAYAGRAJ, Nov. 13 -- In a joint move, Prayagraj and Pratapgarh's Sangramgarh police along with team of Revenue department seized property worth Rs 4.10 crore in Prayagraj, owned by the former Kunda chairman and absconding Samajwadi Party's (SP) acting district unit president Gulshan Yadav and his wife, Seema Yadav on Wednesday. Police had earlier seized Gulshan's property in Kunda also. Gulshan Yadav, a resident of Maudara village under Manikpur police station area of Pratapgarh, and his wife, Seema Yadav, were both former Kunda Zila Panchayat chairman in different terms. Gulshan Yadav is presently acting district unit president of the Samajwadi Party and has 53 criminal cases registered against him in various police stations. SHO of Sangramgarh Satyendra Bhadauria investigated the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters Act case filed against Gulshan in 2014 at the Kunda police station. Based on his report, the District Magistrate, Pratapgarh ordered confiscation of his movable and immovable properties on April 23, 2025. The police had already confiscated various properties belonging to Gulshan Yadav in the Kunda area. In the same case, the police seized three houses built on different residential plots measuring 218.96 square meters on Moti Lal Nehru Road in Prayagraj, besides a plot measuring 52.5 square meters and 167.16 square meters respectively. The properties registered in the name of absconding Gulshan Yadav and his wife Seema Yadav is valued at Rs 4.10 crore. A board displaying the DM's order was also placed on the seized properties after a public announcement. The entire operation was carried out under the supervision of SHO of Sangramgarh police station Satyendra Bhadauria, Prayagraj's Colonelganj ACP Rajiv Yadav, along with the police team, and the revenue team. htc...
