Meerut, June 10 -- Six police personnel, including four women constables, have been attached to the police lines after a social media reel filmed inside the women's help desk area of Paraur Police Station in Shahjahanpur went viral. The action was taken by superintendent of police Saurabh Dixit after videos surfaced on Instagram and Facebook. The reels, reportedly created on June 4, featured police personnel in uniform acting to popular film songs and dialogues. According to officials, the reel was allegedly created by woman constable Manju, who was posted at Paraur Police Station. Taking serious note of the incident, the SP ordered disciplinary action against six personnel, including constables Manju, Monika Kumari, Monika, Jeevita, Mohit, and Dilshad. All six police personnel were seen wearing official uniforms while participating in the videos. The department viewed the act as a breach of discipline and professional conduct expected from police personnel while on duty and within official premises. SP Saurabh Dixit directed that all six be transferred to the police lines pending further proceedings. The move is being seen as a strong message from the district police administration regarding the misuse of official premises for social media content creation. Jalalabad circle officer Jyoti Yadav confirmed the action, stating that six police personnel had been attached to the police lines after the viral reel came to the notice of senior officers through social media. htc...
