GORAKHPUR, Aug. 7 -- The station house Officer (SHO) of Cantt Police Station was placed under suspension on Thursday following a confrontation between police personnel and members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) outside the convocation venue at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University. The action was taken after videos of incident surfaced on social media. A delegation of ABVP leaders also submitted a complaint to SSP, alleging police misconduct.
