India, Sept. 1 -- Hindi play Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was staged by the members of Bhartendu Natya Academy repertory at Raj Bisaria Auditorium recently. Written and directed by Atul Satya Kaushik, the play traces Shivaji's journey from childhood till he became Chatrapati - fighting the battle for freedom and swaraj. BNA chairman Dr Rati Shankar Tripathi says, "Atul has beautifully written and designed the entire play. The costumes, set and everything was created here and we had three housefull shows. On BNA's foundation day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had suggested making plays on our history and greats so we first did Kakori Action Plan and now a play on Shivaji's."
