LUCKNOW, Dec. 15 -- Three days after his family reported him missing, an 11-year-old boy from the city's Indira Nagar was traced and rescued more than 1,200 kilometres away in Gujarat's Ahmedabad, police here said on Sunday. The boy is a Class 6 student. His father, Brijesh Kumar Suman, is a schoolteacher. Suman's son left home unannounced after returning from school on December 10, police said. According to them, the child was reprimanded by his mother over a trivial issue. Upset, he took his bicycle and left the house. With no trace of the boy, the family approached the Ghazipur police station and lodged a missing person complaint. "Details of the missing child were circulated and uploaded on the Police Portal and the TrackChild portal," said SHO Rajesh Maurya. On Saturday, Ahmedabad police informed their Lucknow counterparts that the boy had been located. The family and a police team have left for Ahmedabad to bring him back. htc...
