Lucknow, June 20 -- In a significant boost to the city's recreational infrastructure, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is developing a Rs.12-crore fantasy-themed amusement park at Vanasthali Park in Ashiana, with completion targeted for September 2026. Named "Magical Land Fantasy Park," the project will feature interactive robotic creatures inspired by mythology and fantasy, including dragons, unicorns, cyclops and Airavat, along with attractions based on the popular Panchatantra tales. Developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, the park is expected to become a major leisure destination for families and children. During a site inspection on Thursday, LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar reviewed the progress and directed officials to ensure timely completion. According to the LDA, the park will house 12 life-sized sculptures and models made from recycled materials, depicting characters such as mermaids, phoenixes, genies, griffins, werewolves and Mowgli. Ten interactive robotic installations will further enhance the visitor experience. Kumar additionally reviewed ongoing beautification works at Jyotiba Phule Zonal Park, nearing completion at a cost of nearly Rs.4 crore, and directed officials to expedite irrigation, landscaping and recreational infrastructure projects across the city....
