Rainfall to visit parts of UP through the week
Lucknow, Oct. 1 -- A low pressure area created in the Gulf of Kutch led to overcast conditions and light rainfall in the city bringing relief from sultry weather conditions on Tuesday.
However, this phenomenon was not restricted to the city but spread across central and southern Uttar Pradesh. The weatherman has thus predicted a damp Dussehra.

He also said that the phenomenon will last about two to three days in Central and Southern regions which might be followed by a break for a day or two and heavy rainfall specifically in Eastern UP and Terai region from October 4 onwards.
"The rainfall from October 4 onwards will be due to anot- her western disturbance prevalent over Afghanistan and Pakistan. Besides, the flow of Easterlies in UP due to cyclonic circulation in Bay of Bengal will also contribute to the rainfall," Danish added.
The Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, said that the city received 13.4mm rainfall while Orai recorded 88.2mm highest rainfall across the state followed by Kanpur city with 22.4mm rainfall.
