LUCKNOW, Aug. 18 -- : Monday's rain brought relief from the heat but also triggered widespread power outages across Lucknow, leaving many households without electricity for hours and disrupting water supply in several areas as electric pumps and inverters stopped functioning. In Mal, three feeders supplying several villages remained disrupted for hours, affecting nearly one lakh people. Executive Engineer Raj Kumar said rain-related faults, snapped wires and feeder breakdowns caused the disruptions. The Narayanpur feeder remained out from 5am to noon, while the Mal and Gahdev feeders were affected for shorter periods. Several city areas, including Rajajipuram, Dubagga, Ashiana, Nadarganj, Alambagh and Chander Nagar, also reported prolonged outages....
