Rahul Gandhi spreading confusion over economy, says Chaudhary
Lucknow, May 20 -- Bharatiya Janata Party state president and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary on Tuesday said Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's remarks on the country's economy reflected "disappointment, confusion and political frustration".
He said India is among the world's fastest-growing economies and, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, has achieved historic milestones across sectors.
Chaudhary alleged that Rahul Gandhi was trying to spread fear and confusion among people, youth, farmers and traders, while India continued to progress despite global economic uncertainties. He said international institutions were appreciating India's economic growth, foreign investment was increasing steadily, infrastructure development was taking place at a record pace, and crores of youth were getting opportunities for self-employment and jobs. He said while the Modi government was focused on welfare of the poor, increasing farmers' income, empowering MSMEs and strengthening the resolve of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the Congress was indulging in negative politics....
