Lucknow, June 5 -- The promise of meeting their mother after years of separation allegedly lured two minor sisters from Mohanlalganj into an inter-state trafficking network that police say targeted vulnerable girls and sold them into marriages in Rajasthan. According to ADCP South Vasanth Rallapalli, the racket was allegedly run by Priya Patel alias Sheila and her live-in partner Anurag Yadav, who identified girls from poor families or those lacking family support. The victims were reportedly taken to Rae Bareli, dressed in new clothes and photographed. The images were then shared with associates in Rajasthan, where marriage deals were negotiated for Rs.1 lakh to Rs.1.5 lakh per girl. htc...
