New Delhi, Sept. 20 -- Congress lawmaker Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday urged people across the country to join the "vote chori (vote theft)" signature campaign initiated by the Opposition party against alleged misappropriation of electoral rolls by the Election Commission of India (ECI). "I urge all of you to join our Vote Chori signature campaign. Just as every vote counts, every signature counts, every one of your voices standing up for democracy, standing up for the constitutional values which we are fighting for, for our constitution, counts," she said in the video message on Congress's social media post. The video comes a day after Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday raised fresh allegations of alleged attempts to delete and add "fake voters" in assembly constituencies. Doubling down on his allegations on Friday, the LoP in a post on X, said, "Wake up at 4 am, delete 2 voters in 36 seconds, then go back to sleep - that's how vote theft happened! The watchdog of elections stayed awake, kept watching the theft, and kept protecting the thieves." Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her mother and Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Friday met with coffee growers in Wayanad and heard their grievances. "We discussed all the difficulties they have... I have assured them that I will take up their issues in Parliament and with the relevant ministries etc," the Wayanad MP said after the meeting....
