LUCKNOW, April 20 -- The district administration is digitising land records for a total of 898 villages within the Lucknow district. So far, 11,049 records have been digitised, comprising approximately 2,251,696 record pages. The initiative ensures preservation and rapid availability of these records, an official said. Shubhi Singh, ADM administration, said these records can be accessed from the "Lucknow Bhulekh (lucknowbhulekh.in)" portal, which was formally launched on April 15. Through this portal, citizens will now be able to view Khsara, Khatauni, Chakbandi (consolidation records) and other revenue records online. They can also apply for digitally signed certified copies from their homes. "Effective April 15, 2026, a new protocol has been implemented stating that certified copies of digitised records will henceforth be issued exclusively through the online portal and physical copies of these records will no longer be issued. The issued certified copies will be fully valid for use in courts, banks, and other government-related proceedings," she said. htc...
