LUCKNOW, May 31 -- The ongoing strike by drivers and conductors of Lucknow City Transport Services Limited (LCTSL) continued for the second consecutive day on Saturday, leaving thousands of commuters struggling to reach their destinations. With around 115 electric city buses remaining off the roads due to the protest at the Dubagga depot, daily passengers were forced to rely on autos, e-rickshaws and the Metro, often at significantly higher costs. At major bus stops in Dubagga, Charbagh, Kaiserbagh, Alambagh and Hazratganj, commuters were seen waiting for buses that never arrived. Many were unaware that the strike was continuing and only learned about it after reaching bus stands. Some said they reached their workplaces late, while others had to seek lifts from friends or book expensive app-based cabs. Meanwhile, contractual employees continued their sit-in protest at the Dubagga bus depot, demanding payment of pending salaries.htc...
