Noida techie death: HC seeksaction plan for disaster mgmt
PRAYAGRAJ, March 21 -- The Allahabad High Court, while hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) petition in the Noida techie death case on Friday, asked the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), police department, local administration, Noida Authority as well as the fire department to apprise the court of the proposed suggestions for making an action plan in case of any future disaster.
The court also asked the counsel appearing for the NDRF and the SDRF to provide details about the minimum required readiness time if they receive any information about a disaster.
The court fixed April 1 for the next hearing in the matter.
The order was passed by a bench comprising justice MC Tripathi and Justice Kunal Ravi Singh while hearing the PIL in the death of 27-year-old Yuvraj Mehta, who drowned after his car plunged into a water-filled trench at an undeveloped site in Sector 150, Noida, on January 16 earlier this year....
