IMPHAL, April 10 -- The Manipur government on Thursday handed over the probe into the deaths of two kids in a bomb attack in the Bisnupur district on Tuesday even as Imphal and surrounding areas remained tense with protests erupting against the deaths. Tension escalated in the Imphal Valley area with hundreds of protesters taking to the streets defying curfew restrictions demanding justice in the incident, which claimed the lives of a five-year-old boy, his six-month-old sister and injured their mother. The NIA team visited the spot for investigation on Thursday. Three people had died in firing by security personnel on Tuesday when a large group of protesters had tried to storm a CRPF camp in Bishnupur following the bomb attack. Over two dozen others had sustained injuries. On Thursday, protesters blocked several streets, burnt tyres, and disrupted vehicular movement at various locations in Bishnupur Imphal East, Thoubal and Kakching districts....
