MoU for Rs.580-crore brewery plant finalised, to generate 2,100 jobs
PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 27 -- To boost industrial development in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, AlcoBev Private Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government to establish a brewery plant worth Rs 580 crore with a capacity of 1.5 million hectoliters.
The agreement was signed on October 23 in the presence of industrial development minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi. The MoU was signed by Shyam Kishore Mittal, director of AlcoBev, and Prathamesh Kumar, additional chief executive officer of Invest UP, representing the government. Nandi said the government was fully supporting investment and industrial promotion.
Company director Shyam Kishore Mittal said that the demand for brewery plants in Uttar Pradesh was high, while production capacity remained limited. The new plant, to be established in Sitapur district, will use state-of-the-art European technology and is expected to provide direct and indirect employment to over 2,100 people. HTC...
