VARANASI, Feb. 18 -- The 6th All India Padma Shri Mohammad Shahid Invitation Prize Money Men's Hockey Tournament was inaugurated at the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Sports Complex in Bada Lalpur, Varanasi, on Tuesday. The tournament will conclude on February 24. The inaugural match was played between UP Police and CISF. Twelve teams are participating. The first prize is Rs.2 lakh, second and third prizes are Rs.50000 each. Chief guest Pradeep Agrahari, BJP, Varanasi Unit president, inaugurated the tournament by offering flowers at the portrait of late Olympian Mohammad Shahid.
